Donor Wall Of Compassion
Honouring Alta Levenson In Support Of Palliative Care

In recognition of Alta Levenson’s outstanding service and dedication to Mount Sinai Hospital, we are creating a Donor Wall of Compassion in her honour. Our goal is to raise $500,000 to ensure the ongoing funding of palliative programs and services at Mount Sinai. On Thursday, November 17, 2016, we will be holding a Thank You event for supporters of this initiative. For more information, please contact the Foundation office at 514-369-2222 #1299.

The Mount Sinai family is very pleased to honour Alta Levenson, a dedicated member of the Foundation Board since 2001 and Vice-President from 2007-2014. In 2004, Alta chaired the Marjorie Bronfman and Mille Lande Tribute event, raising over $1 million to support programs and services at Mount Sinai. She is a member of the Dr. Rubin Becker Tribute steering committee working to raise $1 million for an endowment to support programs at Mount Sinai. An active member of the Sinai Rally executive committee, she has helped raise almost $3 million to support respiratory care at Mount Sinai.

A heritage of community support

Mount Sinai Hospital occupies a special place in the Montreal community. Patients and their families turn to us with confidence when they need help with palliative care, long-term care or chronic health conditions. They express universal praise for Mount Sinai’s outstanding level of care and the comfort and peace of mind this brings to them.

Since its inception over a century ago, Mount Sinai Hospital has seen a number of revolutionary changes, including the introduction of antibiotics and the establishment of public health care. Most recently, the Hospital has been merged into the new Integrated Health and Social Services University Network for West-Central Montreal.
